How often should a child train in martial arts?
Published: · By ZKS Martial Arts
Quick answer
Choose a manageable routine and discuss progress with the instructor. ZKS children’s memberships cover one, two or three regular weekly classes, but membership entitlement and Review eligibility are different.
Starting with a regular session
A beginner needs time to learn the class routine and practise the basics. White–Green members can meet the Review attendance requirement through normal weekly attendance. Start with a suitable confirmed class and review the routine as the student progresses.
More advanced training
Current Review guidance expects Blue/Purple members to train approximately twice a week and Brown/Brown Stripe members approximately three times a week. Eligibility depends on the required qualifying sessions actually attended and recorded before the booking cut-off. Read the Help Centre attendance table for the exact current requirement.
Match membership to assigned classes
Standard is £35/month for one regular weekly class, Premium £45 for two and Elite £55 for three. These fees are spread over 12 months, including scheduled holidays. Paying for a package does not automatically qualify a student for a Review or guarantee a belt. Class changes depend on appropriate availability.
