Your First Review at ZKS

A simple guide for new members and White Belt families.

What to do now: Keep attending normal classes. Open your child’s record in the Members Area to see their Review progress and book when it becomes available. Check progress

Quick answer

Start by attending your normal classes regularly. Training builds progress towards a separate, chargeable Review session. When it is ready, it becomes available to book in the Members Area.

You do not need to count classes yourself. Open your child’s member record and look for their Review progress and available bookings. The Members Area is the source of truth for your child’s current stage.

  6. First Review complete

White Belts normally require one completed Review in their first progression pathway.

  8. Moving to Yellow Belt

Once the student becomes a Yellow Belt, they move to the Coloured Belt Review journey.

What happens at a Review?

A Review is a supportive progress checkpoint, not a traditional one-day belt grading. It is a separate, chargeable session of about one hour. It helps show what the student is doing well and what to work on next.

The result is Pass, Merit or Distinction, with feedback to guide the next stage of training. The current price and booking information are shown in the Members Area when the Review becomes available.

Ready for the next stage?

When your child becomes a Yellow Belt, the coloured-belt journey uses three Reviews during each training year.
