Meet Timothy
Senior Black Belt in Taijutsu, Level 3 Muay Thai coach and Blue Belt Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Sensei Ben.
Biography
Sensei Timothy Gourley has trained with ZKS Martial Arts for many years and is an integral part of the team. He began assisting with classes at just seventeen, developing his teaching skills before becoming an instructor in his own right. Today, he is a full-time instructor, teaching across ZKS HQ, Fairford Leys and Wingrave.
Timothy has a natural rapport with younger members and brings a positive, encouraging approach to his Little Dragons, Mini Ninjas and Junior Martial Arts classes. He helps students feel welcome, build confidence and enjoy developing their martial arts skills.
A Senior Black Belt in Taijutsu, Timothy also holds a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt under Sensei Ben and is a Level 3 Muay Thai coach. Alongside his work with younger members, he leads adult Taijutsu sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturday afternoons.
Timothy also leads a weekly daytime martial arts session at ZKS for further education students from Next Phase Academy. These sessions introduce students to a broad range of martial arts skills through a mixed martial arts approach, giving them the opportunity to explore different disciplines and techniques.
